A Bit About Me
Hi, my name is Karen, growing up, I always enjoyed being active with playing sport. I would join gyms from time to time and go for a period of time then stop. Over the years I found other distractions, life became busy and priorities changed like a lot of us. Exercising became something I thought I didn't have time for especially after my two children were born. Over the years I found it difficult to maintain a consistent weight and regularly found my weight fluctuating like a yo yo. After gaining some weight a few years ago I decided to make the time for exercise and to prioritise my workouts like I would an important meeting. Sometimes I'd jump out of bed to go to the gym and other times I'd drag myself out of bed to make it there. No matter the motivation level at the time, I always knew when I finished my workout I would feel great and be so glad I made the effort to go, never once did I regret it. My weight reduced and became stable as I learnt a healthy well balanced diet along with regular exercise was all I needed. This all lead to me wanting to know more about exercise and how I could make the most out of every workout. That's when I decided to pursue a career in Personal Training. Since then I have completed the following courses:
-Certificate 3 and 4 in Personal Training
-Safe Return to Exercise Workshop - Providing safe exercises for pelvic floor weakness and Abdominal Separation
-Rehab Essentials for Personal Trainers
I am a certified Personal Trainer and love what I do, educating and ensuring my clients are getting the most out of each of their workouts is really important to me.
Getting in shape shouldn’t be a punishment. It’s an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision that anyone can achieve. I believe in finding the enjoyable side of fitness, and while there may be a sore muscle or two along the way, the amount of fun and levels of energy you will experience will far exceed the discomfort.
Being a Personal Trainer is extremely rewarding and there is nothing more satisfying than helping people to achieve their own fitness goals.
